Our school Council members are a democratically elected group of students who represent their peers and enable pupils to actively participate in their own education, making a positive contribution to the school environment. Higham School Council are a group of 9 representatives from KS2 who are voted for by pupils at the start of each school year. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
School Council meetings are held regularly to express the opinion and views of their classmates, as well as ideas for events and projects and important decisions about school development. and report back to the classes after each meeting,
Photos of all our School Council members are displayed in the school hall so you know who your representatives are. Children can talk to any member of the council during the course of the day if they have an idea or suggestion they would like discussed at any of the meetings.
