Badgers Year 4

In Year Four, our class teacher is Miss Hipkiss and Mrs Morton our TA. We work well as a team and work hard to learn and have lots of fun while we explore and develop our learning. Our classroom is a friendly and interesting place where we try to be the best that we can be.

Toothpaste Investigation - To earn one of our stickers for our Science Crest award, we were investigating toothpaste to find out people's preferences. We looked at three different toothpastes for colour, smell and taste. From our analysis, we found out that most people in Badger's class preferred the red, strawberry one.
Badgers went on a 'word hunt' round the classroom today searching for irregular action verbs. They only had to write the irregular ones of their boards - these are verbs that you don't just add 'ed to the end of when using the past tense (look - looked = regular draw - drew = irregular)
Rugby Coaching
Today, (24/09/24), the Year 3 and Year 4 students kicked off a new unit focused on tag rugby as part of their Physical Education (PE) curriculum. This term, the school has integrated rugby into their sports programme to give the children an introduction to the game. To make the experience even more engaging, Gary, a professional rugby coach from the Gravesend Rugby Football Club, visited the school to provide expert instruction. He focused on teaching the children the basics of Tag Rugby, a non-contact version of the sport. This form of rugby is ideal for younger players, as it introduces them to essential skills like teamwork, passing, and agility without the physicality of full-contact rugby. The session allowed the children to not only develop their rugby skills but also enjoy being active in a fun and safe environment.
