In our computing lessons, we have been learning how a barcode, scanner, and till work. The customer chose two items and gave them to the scanner and item finder. They matched the codes and found the correct items, then told the price finder what they were. The price finder worked out the total cost, wrote the receipt, and gave it to the customer.

It was great fun playing all the different roles and seeing how technology helps in real-life shopping!
